The River Club in Suwanee, Georgia inspires awe with its natural beauty consisting of 700 acres of pristine forest along the untouched Chattahoochee River. River Club Golf Course
One of the highlights of the River Club is the beautiful, 18-hole golf course designed by Hall of Fame legend Greg Norman. He merges his appreciation of the native landscape with his strategic design skills to create what many are calling the very definition of a true world-class golf course.
River Club is highlighted by spectacular views of the Chattahoochee River Valley and its naturally rolling terrain, majestic pines, and native wetlands. The 7,182 yard, par-72 course plays along five gleaming lakes and has water features accompanying 15 of the 18 holes. Adding to the uniqueness of the course is a park-like setting that creates an intimate and accessible experience. Close relationships between many greens and five sets of tees allow for speedier play, while the dramatic elevation changes and threatening water hazards easily challenge any golfer’s skill. Generous landing areas, wonderful shot making opportunities, and picturesque par three’s are just a taste of what you will experience at River Club.
Speaking of the course, the River Club’s Golf Course was voted a top 30 New Course in America and a “Residential Course of Distinction” by Golf Week magazine. This is even more impressive since the awards were given to new courses built over a two-year period, 2005 and 2006. Georgia Fairways rated River Club as the "Best New Private Course in Georgia" in 2005 and Golf Digest also recently rated the River Club as the 11th best New Private Course in America in its 2007 annual ratings.
Lakeside Family Sports Center
Another highlight of River Club is the Lakeside Family Sports Center, a lodge-like gathering area, that includes a state of the art 24-hour member access fitness center, a surround-sound Movie Theater with 72” plasma TV, a children’s drop-in center, a playground, youth activities pavilion, an outdoor pavilion with fireplace and an esplanade overlooking a stocked lake for fishing and sightseeing. The Sports Center’s aquatics complex boasts four separate pools, including a zero-depth entry pool with water features, a 150-foot triple loop water slide, a toddler’s splash pool and a six-lane junior Olympic pool. The Club’s full-time tennis professional keeps the pro shop fully provisioned and the eight lighted tennis courts are perfect for friendly matches with neighboring Atlanta Lawn Tennis Association (ALTA) teams.
